Account Director - Europe Newfield Wireless - Dublin



Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and grow Newfield's software and services sales revenue with European wireless network operators, directly and with our distribution partners. Manage the entire sales process from trial
phase to market roll-out and training. Must be able to:

  • Create and maintain relationships with customers at all levels but focusing on decision makers, political influencers and "C" level executives within the organization. Coordinate all engagement and communication with the account including ownership of all proposals, demonstrations and tenders to the customer. Work with in-country distribution partners.

  • Fully understand and demonstrate understanding of customer business challenges, internal political environment, market trends, competition and partners that may affect the customers business and decision making

  • Manage and participate in the production and delivery of presentations, demonstrations, proposals and trends.
  • Must be very self-sufficient and technically savvy enough to conduct own product demonstrations.

  • Demonstrate the value proposition and ROI for each opportunity and position Newfield as a long-term business partner with customers

  • Work closely with in-country distribution partners and help develop relationships with third party and partners to extend influence and information gathering opportunities

  • Develop and maintain key internal working relationships (e.g., Pre-sales, Services, R&D, Marketing, Finance, Senior Management) ensuring open communication and timely request for
    information and/or support

Desired Skills & Experience


Minimum Requirements
  • BSEE in electrical engineering, physics or related technical field

  • 5-7 years experience selling software and or/consulting services to wireless network operators, preferably in RF engineering/system performance realm.

  • Excellent understanding of one or more RAN air interfaces (i.e., UMTS, LTE)

  • Experience in wireless network design/engineering, link budget and traffic analysis

  • Hands-on experience with RF network planning tools (e.g., Asset, Atoll, Planet)

  • Quick learner, self-motivated, strong attention to detail, and strong customer service orientation

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Very strong industry references who can attest to the above and confirm that you are a top performer

Desirable Skills and/or Experience

  • MSEE, MBA, PMP or other advanced degree/certification

  • In-depth understanding of radio frequency propagation, propagation modeling, RF test equipment

  • Experience with data analysis, plotting, presentation software

  • Deep knowledge of the global mobile telecommunications market, business and technical trends is essential. Knowledge of the main country operator within territory, the challenge they
    face, their strategies and competition.

  • Knowledge and experience of selling value based propositions into Senior Management teams. Ability to gain cross functional sponsorship, supporting the development of business cases across the customer's business, specifically CTO, CFO and CMO departments

  • Solid understanding of the direct and partner-lead sales environment, culture, and challenges

  • Ability to work with customers, partners, and internal personnel at all levels from CxO downwards establishing credibility and building trusted-partner status

  • Ability to engage and quickly establish strong working relationships with partners, reps, channels, etc.

  • Ability to discuss contract terms and conditions with customers and negotiate positive commercial terms
