The role we are recruiting for is Category Marketing Director for our Beer Portfolio in Western Europe. GUINNESS is our beacon brand and is a privilege to work on- 255 years in the making, it lives in peoples’ hearts especially in its home markets of Ireland & GB. Arthur’s Day & the Arthur Guinness Projects and Rugby Sponsorship are just some of the stand-out programmes. There are other wonderful brands in our portfolio- SMITHWICKS is 300 years young and is going through somewhat of a revival, BUDWEISER & CARLSBERG which we manage in Ireland provide amazing opportunities to learn from the best in terms of innovation & brilliant execution and the HARP & RED STRIPE Brands have real local opportunities in our Northern Irish business & in GB respectively.
The beer portfolio represents about a third of our business (sales, investment & profit) in Europe and with that scale comes responsibility. You will need to act like an owner of this business and be relentless in pursuit of turnaround, innovation & growth. There is no business as usual in this role so creating the conditions for the people around you to succeed is vital- whether that is one of our amazing brewers, your head of finance, world leading agency partners or your team who are keen to create some of the best work of their careers, you will need to be there to inspire & support them.

The role is a Director position, reports into the Marketing & Innovation Director for Western Europe and as such the successful candidate will form part of our marketing leadership team.
