Job Description
The qualified candidate will be an experienced Clinical Project Manager / Director that is capable of handling one or more clinical studies. The successful candidate will ideally have two years of experience developing full service project plans for clinical trials and subsequently has successfully led cross functional study teams in accordance with contractual timelines, client specifications and Good Clinical Practices (GCP's) is essential. In addition the successful candidate will coordinate and manage the activities of individuals, studies and staff in a manner that ensures all timeframes and targets are met and that cost are kept under control. Also, be able to effectively manage assigned staff to ensure high performance, continuous development and low turnover. The qualified candidate will demonstrate understanding of drug development including planning and delivery for a product (drug asset) through multiple phases of development. The qualified candidate will have the ability to identify risks to critical path for drug development and define ways to mitigate.
Desired Skills & Experience
Applicants must have a degree (BS/BA) in healthcare, life science or comparable education and experience. Additionally, applicants must have at least 8 years of clinical research experience, ideally with extensive experience field monitoring of pharmaceutical clinical trials. Strong leadership skills, demonstrated project management ability, and a positive approach in managing staff, clients and project related issues are necessary to perform successfully in a service-oriented environment. Significant experience in managing full service trials is preferred. Oncology experience is a plus.
**Home Based Clinical Project Management roles may be considered for highly qualified candidates. Due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employees’ location, the employee may be required to possess a valid Drivers license
